A/N: Captain Hook is, of course, not mine. Also, this takes place soon after the events in J. V. Hart's novel, Capt. Hook, but you do not need to have read that to understand this. Thanks for reading!
Behind his eyes of blue forget-me-nots,
Where darkness touches everything he knows,
James Matthew lies in wait, forming a plot,
For now his goodness never will he show.
He lifts the silver hook into the sky,
Not knowing that, one day, it will become
The only thing that makes this poor man cry,
The only thing that makes a boy's heart thrum.
His deep black curls remind all of his soul,
Tormented now by thoughts of those he's lost.
But this man's heart will stop feeling the toll –
It starts to freeze now with a bitter frost.
The man named Captain Hook has now been born;
Pray that you never live to know his scorn.
