The final bell of the day had just sounded for the weekend. Kenny had made plans to come out to his friends by asking out his longtime crush.
The blond quickly got his stuff before heading over to find Butters. Everyone was getting together to talk about their plans for prom. Kenny was one of the only boys who didn't have a date for the dance.
The two blonds met up at Butters locker before heading to Tokens' house. They didn't have much to talk about at first so they stayed quiet for a while taking glances at each other hoping the other wouldn't notice.
"I don't have anyone to go with." Butters randomly shouted out. Kenny hadn't known fully if Butters had found a date yet so the news made him happy. The taller blond felt bad that he couldn't comfort his smaller crush without giving away his plan. "It's just so hard to find a boy to go with." Butters had come out as gay freshman year, now Tweek and Craig had also come out. Tweek as gay and Craig as bi, now they were dating and going to prom together.
"Well when most of the schools population is straight and most of the boys that aren't fully straight are in relationships, it can get hard to find someone to go with." Kenny replied sounding as calm as he could so he wouldn't give up the surprise.
Kenny and Butters were the last two teens to arrive at Tokens' mansion because they walked. Neither had their driver's license.
"What took you so long?" Bebe asked when the door opened. She gave the two boys hugs taking off their coats and hanging them in the closet.
"We walked." Kenny replied. The warmth of the house made Kenny relax. The three blonds quickly made their way to the basement where the rest of the group was waiting in a circle.
Craig looked up from his boyfriend as the three approached. "Look what the cat dragged in." the raven teased his smile growing.
"Hey fellas." Butters offered up a clearly forced smile.
"Still don't have a date huh?" Clyde asked though he already knew the answer. Both boys shook their heads.
Kenny looked around, finally stopping on Token, the only boy that knew. He nodded telling the blond that now was the best time to go. Kenny stood up walking out of the room ignoring everyone's questions of confusion.
He found the closet with the supplies he needed. It was a simple plan. He tied the pansexual flag around his shoulders like a cape before grabbing the poster. It was a simple poster, there was only one word on it. It had 'prom' written on it, and around it were a bunch of pictures of Butters and Kenny. He pulled out his phone sending Token the message saying he was ready.
Soon after Kenny could hear footsteps in the hall. Taking one last breath he jumped out of the closet, flag waving behind him as he scared his friends. It didn't take long for the front boys to realize what was going on. They all moved out of the way so Butters could see.
When Butters read the sign and looked at the smiling blond, his mouth fell open. He recognized the pansexual flag. The small blonds face lit up like a little kids on Christmas. Butters ran forward hugging the boy that just asked him to prom. They fell backwards causing everyone to laugh.
"So… I'm taking that as a yes?" Kenny joked, receiving a kiss on the cheek. He smiled pulling Buttes down into a hug.
