The Caretaker
Ianto & Toshiko arrive at the old church hall, it was just gone noon on a warm sunny day, but there was a strange cold eerie feeling about the church hall - the sign outside said St David's Church Hall & Function Rooms, but the over grown exterior of the building was cold and unappealing, inside the caretaker, a grey haired old man who looked about 80 years old, the sort that would scare the kids and charm the old ladies, was pottering around the hall moving chairs and collecting cups. They were there to investigate daily reports of strange noises emanating from the building, 5 people had also gone missing in the past week, Ianto & Tosh hesitate at the door, suddenly the caretaker turns on his heels and questions who they are and what are they doing in his hall.
Tosh explains about the reports, the caretaker becomes angry and demands to know who's been reporting them. Ianto tries to calm the situation but the man is growing angrier, suddenly Tosh shouts to Ianto to get out of there - the caretaker was changing, shape shifting, big bulging eyes, vains about to burst through his paper thin skin, teeth like a wild beast, he pounces like a tiger towards them, as he does there's a gun shot and the caretaker falls to floor - Tosh & Ianto spin round on their heels to see Jack stood in the door way.
Once again Jack has stepped in and saved his team, but how did Jack know they needed him? it had all happened so fast neither Tosh or Ianto had put a call out for help!
