Against the Wind

Short, strange Rei poem/song.

The usual don't own 'em and get no dosh.

This doesn't have very much to do with the series, But I think it sounds like a Rei poem/song. I'll warn you now, this was written in a late night session!

A poem poem/song for Rei

Standing alone,

I'm on my own against the wind.

It blows me down,

But I'm like a machine in skin.

I don't even try to cry,

Tears are gone my eyes are dry.

'Cause I'm alone against the wind,

It's changing my world once more, and again,

But I survive.

I am numb.

As cold as ice, as steel.

Deja vu,

It's all I know how to feel.

The wind has blown away all emotion,

I don't know what to say.

So I'm silent as the mountains,

As I'm tortured by the breeze.

It blows me down again,

But I'm alive.
