Some Things Should Never Happen

By: Yahnkehy

Genre: parody/drabble

A/N: A friend of mine challenged me to write a carebears/fushigi yuugi/trigun crossover after a silly April Fool's joke-post to my LJ. This is the aftermath of too much sugar, too much laughter, and too much hilarity.

Warnings: Language (thanks Tasuki and, to a lesser extent, Wolfie!)

Vash looked at Wolfwood, curiosity in endless sea colored eyes. "Are those men talking to toys?"

Wolfwood cast a quick look at the blonde; ash falling from his crinkled cigarette which hung from his lower lip almost comically. "Christ, Tongari, they are!"

Both gunman and priest stared down at the scene in growing confusion.

Tasuki stomped his foot, glaring down at the bit of pink fluffy bear. "Alla the Cheer Bear, Friend Bear, Funshine Bear, and Good Luck Bear's in the fuckin' world ain't gonna get us offa this dust bowl! What we need is a Wish Bear!"

Chichiri winced and hung his head. "He wasn't part of my collection na no da. I'm afraid that we need to find a different means of getting home no da."

Tasuki growled, balling his fist up and shaking it at the moping monk. "I still can't believe that ya dropped yer fuckin' shajakou so that ya could grab these ninnies!"

Funshine Bear pouted at the screaming redhead. "But, we're good luck charms! Everything will work out as long as we have each other!"

Vash stood and tromped down the hill, leaving Wolfwood to stare at his back. "Hey!" he called to the pair of males and gaggle of rainbow colored teddy bears. "Can I have one of these? I bet Millie would love to have one. They're so cute!"

Chichiri rose to his full height, mask in his hand and glare on his face. "I can't give them to you no da. They have to choose to be your friends na no da!"

Vash crouched down, eyeing Friend Bear closely. "Wanna be friends?"

Friend Bear smiled happily and his belly glowed with the emotion. "Of course! Friend Bear is always ready to make new friends!"

And so, Vash the Stampede, Nick D. Wolfwood, Friend Bear and Millie all traveled away from the obviously distraught Chichiri and pissed off Tasuki. "Hey, do you think that Meryl can cheer them up, Nick?" Vash asked over Millie's jubilant cries as she cuddled the Care Bear.

Wolfwood grinned sarcastically, head bowed over the last draw of his smoke. "Meryl can cheer up anyone."
