Well, I thought I'd make a prologue for this thing, doesn't really relate to anything but oh well. XD
So you know, this is a remake of my other fanfic Secrets Must Be Kept Secrets, similar plot but with a few tweaks and all that.

Hope you enjoy~

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any of the characters. If I did, it would be law that everyone had to slap Sasuke across the face with a smelly fish. :)

Nothing could get the memories out of his mind, the memories of that sweet-hearted pink-haired girl that he came to cherish so much. Every moment he spent away from her felt like a decade and every time they had to go their separate ways, it felt like it was too soon that she had to leave. She was the one that made the everlasting darkness in his life disappear. No words could describe how much she meant to him; only that he would do anything to see her just one more time. Even if it meant taking away his own life to be with her again.

Sasuke looked out onto the forest whose size stretched out across the horizon and off into the distance as far as the eye could see. He stood on top of a cliff which stood above the small village of Konoha. He didn't care that he was standing too close to the edge that he could slip off if a breeze came along, he did not care about that at all. He only cared about one thing, to be more precise, one person but she was gone now. She was gone and it was his fault. If his control had not lapsed the way it did, she would still be alive. Alive and together. Kind of ironic when he was already dead himself. The cold icy wind blew past his face; it felt warm as it brushed against his skin. Just like the touch of her hand did, so soft and silky warm.

Sasuke turned his body away from the cliff and walked back towards the shade where the limp body of his sweet beloved pink-haired girl was, her face was getting paler by the second as the life that stirred within her withered away. There was only one thing that would cross his mind as to how he could possibly fix his dying beloved and that was making her like him –a contradiction to life itself. Sasuke lifted her body onto his lap and rested her head on his shoulder and brushed her hair away and exposed the soft undisturbed skin of her neck. A single tear formed in the corner of Sasuke's eye, he inched close enough to her neck so that his icy breath was touching her… and sunk his fangs in.
