Going Away Present

Sitting on the bed in Ramses's room, Moses sigh holding on to his gift for his adopted brother. Nibbling on his lip he can't help but wonder if the gift he chosen be like or not. Open and closing his mouth as Ramses chatters about nonsense as he packs some things in clothes. Feeling nervous and scared, Moses places the gift on the bed standing up.

"Hey Ramses," He calls.

"Hm?"

"I'm going to check to see if mom needs help with dinner since Father is currently out of town on a business trip." Moses explains seeing Ramses looking at him with a small grin.

"No problem pest," Ramses answers waving a hand stretching a bit rather please with how much he done so far for packing as Moses leaves the room rather quickly that Ramses notice.

Frowning more to himself, he adds, "Moses sure been acting weird lately."

He looks to the bed finding a wrapped up package Moses been holding. About to call the younger teen back he changes his mind rather curious since his brother rarely shows the artwork he does since he's sometimes shy which makes him rather adorable. Being an older brother having friends claim it he knows it can be hilarious and annoying at times even if it's true. He blinks standing up finding his name on the package.

"This is for me?" He murmurs softly to himself before opening it.

He gasp seeing it's a portrait of his mother, Moses and him at the beach they gone on as a family vacation last summer. He remembers his father have taken a picture of the three standing in front of the beautiful ocean. A few tears rolls down his cheek at the priceless gift. He didn't bother brushing them away. He could see his dear beloved brother painted this himself.

"Ramses dear, dinner is ready," A woman's voice speaks at his door making the teen to look up.

"Mom, look what Moses did for me as a going away present," he said breathlessly, eyes shining with grateful tears making Tuya smile at her son.

"You like it?" She asks knowing Moses is coming up behind her rather fearful and shy of Ramses's response.

"No."

Moses feels his heart stops at the words only to start up again at his older brother's next words, "I love it."

"I'm glad you do big brother," Moses squeaks flushing a dark ready only to squeak louder when Ramses leaps off his bed after placing the portrait down to hug his brother.

Tuya smiles warmly at her boys which unknown to them Seti comes home to seeing the brothers hugging and his wonderful wife watching with love. He leans against the wall thinking, 'it be strange seeing my eldest but I have a feeling he will come home more often with a wonderful gift Moses done for him.'
