The Shock

Ephram sat on the plane to New York watching Amy as she slept soundly. He thought that she looked so peaceful and beautiful. Suddenly Amy noticed she was being watched. She awoke and asked Ephram abruptly, "What?" with a smile on her face. Ephram shyly looked away, out the window, and said, "Nothing."
Meanwhile, Andy decided that he should go have another talk with Madison. So he got into his car and started to drive. As he started to drive, he started to think that maybe he hadn't made the right choice in not telling Ephram that Madison was pregnant with his child. "No", he thought to himself immediately, "Ephram is too young to deal with this right now." Before he could have any more thoughts about whether he had made the right decision or not, he pulled up in Madison's driveway and got out of the car.
As he rang the doorbell he found that he was a little nervous to see Madison. (And maybe a little ashamed.) Madison called to the door, "Just a minute!" 10 seconds later she opened the door and looked at Andy as if she was surprised to see him at her front door. "Hello Madison," Andy said. "Hi Mr. Brown," said Madison. "Can I come in for a minute, Madison, I have a feeling that we need to talk." "I would Mr. Brown, it's just I have to get to school, I think I'm already late." "Oh, of course, um maybe you could stop by my office afterwards, around 6." "Alright, sure, band practice ends about that time, anyway. So, I'll see you then?" "Alright," Mr. Brown said as he gave her a small smile, "Well, bye." "Bye," Madison said as she closed the door. She started to think about Ephram, for about the millionth time. About what he would say if he found out the truth and if he would ever find out about her being pregnant.
