I have been bouncing some ideas for a crossover for Baldur's Gate.
Nodoka slips one over old Genma and sleeps with Bhaal conciving Ranma. I see Bhaal doing this by spawning children in other planes, so all his eggs are not in one basket. This would give him more than one place he can be resurrected from. Possibility is that the Kunos or Tendos are worshippers of Bhaal or even some obscure group are Bhaal worshippers. You could make Akane a Bhaal spawn along with Ranma or Ranma isn't one, but Ryouga is. A twist could be Kodachi is a follower of Cyric, Bhaals replacement. Where this could go someone reveals said persons heritage, The six from Throne of Bhaal make an apperiance with three of them alive having slain all Bhaal spawn on the Sword Coast. Elminster and Drizzt arrive behind them to train the Bhaal spawn of Earth, skills needed to protect themselves and stop Bhaals return. Possible scene:
"Let me get this straight. Genma Saotome is not my father, some universally hated God named Bhaal called the Lord of Murder is. That my father had me born just so he could be reborn after he died."
Drizzt and Elminster both nod.
"You now he sounds like a decent guy."
"WHHHAATTTTT!? You actual approve of who he was?"
"Ya, he didn't engage me for food, throw me into a pit of starving cats, or a couple hundred other things."
"Pit of starving cats, throw in to." Drizzt asks. "Engaged for food." Elminster whispers and stares. Both "Hundred other things." Both look at each other questioning and both nod. Drizzt bows. "Excuse me Ranma where is this Genma Saotome?"
"See that waddling bear walking down the street. Thats Pops."
"Thank you Ranma. Watch and enjoy. I will deministrate what I wish to teach you." Elminster walks down the street and staying in sight of Ranma. "Excuse me are you Genma Saotome."
Panda holds up a sign. "I am just a cute little Panda." Elminster raises an eyebrow.
"To bad I suppose the gift I have for him must go to waste." Elminster turns to walk away. The panda taps him on the shoulder.
The sign say, "My mistake I am Genma Saotome of the Anything Goes Martial Arts. So give me it."
Elminster grins evilly, "Are you sure of this fact." P-Genma shake his head vigerously. "Good here is your just rewards."
Chain-lighting! BOOM
Fireball! WHOOSH
Magic Missle! WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM
Bigby's Clenched Fist! SLAM
