A/n: Okay, so I started watching this out of bordem and I couldn't help but write a fic for it. I know almost no one reads this fandom anymore, but Static Shock is too good to pass up. Then again I'm one of those kids who watched every episode trying to figure out why Virgil was flirting with Daisy and not Richie. So, if you read this, thank you. -bow-

It had been one of those days. The kind where all he wanted to do was fall on the couch in the gas station and fall asleep. The League had run him into the ground and Richie was still at the college. The worst of it all was that it was raining and he had to walk. He felt disgusting, he couldn't use his powers and he'd left his phone in his jeans. He couldn't even say that he felt physically fine, not with the cuts on his legs and back or the burn on his right shoulder. He was just ready to fall over.
The gas station was just ahead and it looked warm and inviting. After tonight, dealing with a little cold was as much as he could take. The door opened instantly for him and a spider like robot let out a soft beep to acknowledge him. The little robot meant one thing and one thing only, "Richie." the blonde smiled from the work table, his homework laid out as the blonde set aside another page of work.
"Hey, Static." he tipped back Richie's chair and smiled down at his best friend. Richie gently pushed away the mask and set it on top of his chemistry book. Their lips met in a soft, sweet kiss and Static could feel his day melt into nothing. Breaking the kiss, the hero turned the chair and knelt down so he could rest his head in his friend's lap. Richie gently rubbed his neck, "What happened to your shoulder?"
A soft groan answered Richie. The blonde waited before asking again, "Hotstreak, and Talon, and Shiv. I wasn't even looking for them, I was come back after a fight with Joker, and next thing I know, Birdie rips my jack up, hot head burns my shoulder and Shiv got lucking and went Chain Saw Massacre on my back!" Richie gave a soft chuckle and kissed the ranting Static.
Static returned the kiss full heartedly, "You could have just said 'It was a bad day,' Virg." Virgil smiled and pulled Richie down to straddle him.
"Yah, I suppose I could have, but that doesn't mean I will." the next kiss lasted well into the next morning, but that didn't matter. The hero had all he needed. His own shock to his system.
