Sorry, guys! This isn't my best work, but I wrote it right after going to a movie with my friends, so its sort of symbolic to me.
REVIEW OR I WILL KILL THE COOKIE MONSTER.

The gush and swoosh of water filled the air, so familiar to Zoro that it could lure him to sleep in an instant. The Sunny was quiet, but he could faintly hear Franky's loud snores, and the chef cleaning up in the kitchen. He knew instinctively that Robin was sitting somewhere below, the scrape of paper was barely audible. He took all this in in a handful of seconds, doing everything he could to avoid the gaze of his Captain. He mourned the times Luffy was like this, serious and unmovable. Zoro doubted the less perceptive members of the crew even knew about this darker side of their Captain.
"Were you serious?" Luffy asked, "Back in Water Seven?
Zoro closed his eyes and tried to remember the moment his captain was thinking of:
He gripped a piece of Luffy's skin, stretching it, forcing him to look back, "Listen.." He snapped, "This may be selfish but if you guys are playing around and being in your company won't make me the strongest, I will leave this crew myself."
Chopper started to squeak a complaint, but Nami was already talking over him, "This conversation has us going nowhere!"
Zoro let go of Luffy cheek, ignoring his muffled yelp, he turned to face the rest of the crew, "I have nothing against the fact that the idiot wants to return." His voice become deeper and more threatening, "But if he has yet to make a distinction of whether or not he belongs, I cannot accept that!"
He let that sink in before he spoke again. "If that is the case, then we should leave Usopp behind on this island."
"Hold on a second Zoro," Nami tilted her head to the side, not understanding. She raising her hands in an attempt at peace, "He was definitely in the wrong, but..." A glimmer of a smile slipped past her lips, "If he has something to say, shouldn't we let him say it?"
In a fluid movement his sword was unsheathed and thrust into the floor, driving his roar into their hearts. "Leaving a pirate crew is not such a simple thing!"
"I still stand by what I said." Zoro let his hand rest on the ever present bandages wrapped around his midsection, Kuma had been at fault for these. He wondered as he scanned the scars adorning his chest, why there were more he'd taken for the crew than for himself.
Luffy nodded, it was all the information he apparently needed. As he turned and started to climb down the mast, back down to his nakama, Zoro saw a flash of something in his eyes, something that made him shift uncomfortably:Disbelief.
Zoro tried to picture his family: Kuina and his master. But when he thought the word 'family', unbidden, an image of the crew came to his mind. When he thought of home, the smell of saltwater filled his nostrils, the sway of Sunny shifted under his feet, he could barely recall the old dojo.
When did they become his family?
He let his hands drop from behind his head, it would be no use trying to sleep now, not with so many new thoughts buzzing about his head. As he crossed the floor to find his weights, he paused before the mast, where Luffy's warm hands had been only moments before.
"I think I've changed my mind."
