Gone From You

Summary: Kagome's and Inuyasha's reflection on things and truths.

I'm all alone on the road,

Kagome was a girl who tried concealing truths, although she failed badly for a certain hanyou some times, everyone else saw through the lie and thought of truth. She was one of alone, even this one the hanyou didn't know about.

These are my promises,

I hope you're winning the war,
Make everything like it's was before,
All that we were we can still be again,

The war with Naraku was something she dreaded, something she knew that was coming, but something she didn't want to come. Because if it did, it was likely to be the end, of everything she had in the time she fell into.

I swear,
I'm afraid you're gone,

The one thing she knew was that she was afraid, afraid of losing him, she didn't want to lose him, after everything she done for him, and what he has done for her. There had to be some bond, right?

She couldn't see past the sun, couldn't see the future, couldn't change it before someone died,

She wanted to go home, he wouldn't let her, sometimes the times he let her; she wished he made her stay, but it was hard, living in two eras. Living in one was hard enough.

She has been running away too long, running from feelings, which hurt her. Hurt too much to stay, she will drown

She cries when she dreams, he saw that, sometimes he heard her sob, once he swore she said his name, and it wasn't followed by a "sit". Maybe she does dream the future. But after she wakes up, she looks as if she doesn't remember it. Though she does, she does, she conceals it, afraid to say what she dreams, because it might come real. I can tell something happens in her dreams, because of the way she looks at me after she wakes up, the desperate that's there… she is making sure that I'm still here…

Is it bad to ask her to stay? In an era she wasn't born in, didn't grow up in, she grew up in a life where there was no demons to fear. Nothing to fear of…. But she belongs with me right?

If I asked would she? Stay…? The old hag said she might not have a choice, she'll be sent back to her world when the jewel in whole, that was her job done. She was the one who broke it in the first place, and that Kagome, I thank you for.
