"That plan won't work in a million years," Teddy rolled his eyes.
"What! It's totally foolproof! Just add a dash of classic Nate Wright charm, and it's completely watertight." Nate exclaimed.
Teddy sighed. "I stilll don't know, Nate. Even if Uncle Pedro does agree- which I SERIOUSLY doubt he will- we still will have a whole lotta trouble pulling it off."
Nate thought about the matter for a minute, then decided:
"Let's go get Francis. He'll know what to do."
"So, on Friday when we walk home from school- assuming Nate doesn't get detention- we go up to Jenny and ask her if she'd like to see a magic trick. I'll say something like, 'My uncle specializes in card tricks,' and we know she likes card tricks because of the one Artur did with the two of hearts-"
"She likes card tricks. She'll be excited." Nate finished, annoyed.
"Right." Teddy continued.
"I'll say, 'Wanna see one? My uncle's house isn't far,' and then, once we're at the house-"
"Then Pedro swoops in and hypnotizes Jenny to like me!" Nate grinned.
"Good plan, huh?"
"Incredible," Francis choked out sarcastically.
