The yellow-golden light of the time vortex swirled inside her. She knew she had the power to do anything, with time and space at her fingertips, she was almost a god. But the only thought in her head was, "I must save the doctor." She was concentrating on how to save him when everything disappeared. She was in a space that was nowhere. Then a voice filled her, and it said, "Rose Tyler, you are the only one that can take up a daunting task I am here to ask you about. Right now you are almost as powerful as me, and you are using it only to save the person you love. You love the Doctor, correct?"

"I love him more than anything in all of the universe and with all my heart," Rose replied confidently. There was nobody that could replace the Doctor's place in her heart.

"I thought so," the powerful voice replied, "And I know that you will be able to love him, and care for him better than anyone else in this universe. Knowing these things has brought you to my attention, and you are the most qualified person to take up this job. And so the task I have for you is to be his protector."

"What do you mean?" Rose replied slightly confused.

"I have been searching since the beginning of time for the perfect guardian angel for the Doctor, and you are the perfect person to do this job. Your job will be to protect, comfort, and care for the Doctor. I hope that you can say yes to this job, you would be amazing at it." The voice explained.

After a moment in thought, Rose replied, "I accept, and promise to be the guardian angel of the Doctor."

"Good, now I will send you back to the place you were just at, you will not see me again, but I trust you to follow your promise. But before you go, I have something for you."

All of a sudden, there was a pain in Rose's back. It came from near her shoulder blades. Then in an instant the pain was gone, and she felt something new on her back. She turned her head and tried to see what was on her back. She almost fainted in shock of what she saw. On her back, there were two perfect, large, and dusty pink wings. She could feel the wings adding a little weight to her back, but it was nothing significant. The bottom feathers touched the ground a little bit, but were beautiful. This is going to take some practice.

"These wings are visible to only you, and to whoever you trust to let see them. Beware who you show them to, it can make them change, and question who you are. At first, it will take practice to use them, but soon you will get the hang of it. With this I leave you…"

Instantaneously, Rose was back at Satellite 5 and she knew she needed to protect the Doctor. She destroyed the Daleks, and brought Jack back. The last thing she remembered was the Doctor kissing her, and taking away the pain of the vortex.
