Disclaimer: I don't own Joan... I do own Heaven Hope

(Got to hold on easy as I let you go)

Joan sat up in her hospital bed, holding her newborn daughter, Heaven Hope.

(Gonna tell you how much I love you though I think you already know)

Of all the assignments GOD had given her, nothing compared to this one.

(I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm)

Joan held her miracle baby and marveled at how beautiful and tiny she was before kissing her tiny fingers.

(You had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born)

Heaven had her mother wrapped around her finger even as an infant. She cried and Joan responded immediately. Joan didn't believe in letting the child cry it out. But even at three o'clock in the morning she would cheerfully jump out of bed to see to the baby's needs.

(Beautiful baby from the outside in)

Heaven grew in beauty, grace and wisdom every day. Joan absolutely adored her

(Chase your dreams but always know the road the will lead you back again)

10 years later

"Mom, happy birthday!" "Thanks baby," Joan said giving her daughter a hug. Heaven brought her mother breakfast which Joan said was delicious. Then she pointed at the ceiling… and suddenly there was a knock at the door. Joan was astonished when she saw Kevin walk in. She looked at Heaven who only grinned.

(Go on talk on this ol' world but to me you know you'll always be, my little girl)

5 years later

Joan was crying because Heaven was leaving for a few days. "It's okay mom," Heaven said gently hugging her, "I'll be back in 3 days"

(When you were in trouble your crocked little smile would melt my heart of stone)

Flashback

18-year-old Joan walked into her bedroom to find her 2-year-old daughter with makeup all over her face. She groaned but when Heaven looked up at her with that adorable smile she could not get upset. "Come on sweetie," she said picking her daughter up and laughing, "we'll get you cleaned up"

(I turn around and look at you and your almost grown)

3 days later

"Mom I'm back" Joan squealed excitedly and hugged her daughter. "It ended early," Heaven explained, "I couldn't want to see you" Joan looked at her beautiful daughter. In six months she would be the same age Joan was when GOD blessed her with Heaven, and ready to fulfill her destiny… something Joan did not care to think about.

(Sometimes you're asleep. I whisper I love you in the moonlight at your door. As I walk away I hear you say, "mommy love you more")

Lying in bed that night, Joan couldn't sleep. Suddenly she felt a hand stroking her hair. It was Cute Boy. "Our Daughter," He told her, "is strong. She'll be fine" Comforted, Joan fell asleep
