Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot
A long time ago, before The Darkness was sealed away, Death and The Darkness were together. And, contrary to previous beliefs, humans did exist at this time. One day, the powerful couple laid with a man.
Their daughter, Samanthael, was sent to live with the mortal man and his wife. Samanthael was raised in a happy home, her powers rivaling even her mother. Her mortal foster parents, Markus and Alaine, loved her as if she were their own. Eventually, Samanthael married a man named Ashtus. A few weeks later, and a daughter was conceived. Her name was Sariel, and she grew to be powerful, although not as powerful as Samanthael. When Sariel was a year old, the Angels learned of their existence. A group of Angels were sent out to kill the family.
This is where our story begins.
"Prithee, thee cannot hurt Sariel!," Samanthael pleaded. "Thee can taketh me, but thee can't hurt Sariel!"
Samanthael's pleas were ignored, and the Angel Joniah struck her down with his blade.
Before Sariel could be slain as well, The Darkness, Amara, appeared. In an instant, the Angel was dead.
While Amara recked havoc in her grief, Death watched over Sariel.
When Amara was sealed away by her brother, God, she uttered the last words that would ever be heard by her for millions of years.
"Heareth me, all!" she had screamed. "Mine own daught'r shalt not beest f'rgotten! Samanthael shalt beest again into the corse and mind of h'r descendant! Mine own daught'r is not dead!"
And then she was gone.
Death watched over Sariel and her descendants. Females in the family, they were powerful, some more than others. Males were simply normal people, which made the family completely matriarchal. It wasn't like the other matriarchal families, who treated men like slaves, they were simply always treated like the family's children.
To be protected at any and all costs.
Death watched as God sent Lucifer, who was dearest Amara's favorite nephew (along with Gabriel, both of whom were devastated at the death of Samanthael), into the Cage in Hell to cool down for a few centuries.
Well, he couldn't exactly say he agreed with God's parenting skills.
He watched as his daughter's family became the Campbells.
And now, most importantly, he watched as his daughter was reborn into the body of Samanthael Winchester.
They really like to reuse names, Death thought.
Sup guys! So, this one has been sitting around as a plot bunny in my head for ages. So, I thought, why not try to write it down? I should have the next chapter up relatively soon, cuz I forgot to post this a few days ago and have been working on this one straight for a while since. I'm sorry I haven't updated my other stories, but the plot bunnies must be written.
