Shadow Rise

The Old clans have all but faded into legend. Many stories are passed on of the heroes that defeated the Dark Forest and the ones who gave way to the new clans. But a legend older then even those times returns, and StarClan send a kit blesses with the lives and knowledge of eight legends. With the hopes of the light on his shoulders, can the kit hope to face this dark legend?

So this is my first true fanfic on this site, since Ivy's Shadow was put on hold. This story will hopefully be much better and get as much support as my last one. Also, thank you to those who have said all the nice things about Ivy's Shadow, and I'm sorry that it won't continue.

Now on to what you came to do.

Prologue

A lone cat walked through a dark and misty forest. He wandered seemingly aimlessly, but soon walked into a gathering of cats. All of them looked right at him. He looked at them, and saw eight of them.

"You have been chosen to young one to be the host of the eight, and the guardian of the new clans" said the silver cat closest to him. She walked up to him and stared with her dark blue eyes into his, then licked his head and vanished.

"One life to see the light from the darkness, and to find hope when all is lost" said the female cat in his head. He felt an overwhelming desire to not move, and just sat down. The next cat walked up to him and licked his head.

"One life to defend the honor of the clans, and StarClan itself" said a gruff voice in his head. Each of the cats walked up to him in turn and licked his head.

"One life to heal those who are in pain," said a female voice.

"One life to lead those who have lose their way," said a male voice.

"One life to persist your dreams, and to defy fate," said another male voice.

"One life to seek out any truth and banish any lies," said a soft female voice.

"One life to sincerity and compassion," said a male voice.

The last cat walked up tohim and sat down in front of him. "This little kit will be the easiest life to lose, but also the most powerful one you can ever have. May this life persist as long as the rest," said the last cat. She looked at him with her amber eyes, then leaned over and licked his head.

"One life to friendship and trust," said the last voice in his head.

The cat stood up and looked across the empty clearing. He felt stronger than ever, and proceeded into the white mist past the clearing.

And that's the prologue. As a slight clarification this isn't a leader's ceremony, but it still will give the kit lives. Next chapter will introduce our first main character, and the new clans.
