Manic then cast a spell on Shadow and Fleetway and told me to ask my questions.
"Prince Shadow," I said, "is it true that you kidnap me, or did I go with you on my own free will?"
"Your own free will," Shadow said, causing gasps from the crowd.
"Prince Fleetway, same question."
"Same answer," he grunted, causing more gasps from the crowd.
"Prince Shadow, why did you choose me to be your future queen?"

That set off a wave of chaos. Fruit, vegetables, shoes, rocks, and other things were thrown at Fleetway. He was knocked unconscious and was taken to prison.
"Fear not," I said to my people, "for my son, Alexander Ogilvie, is being resurrected at this moment, and we ask that to merge the kingdoms."
I was answered with rounds of applause for this decision.

It has been eight years since Shadow, Silver, and I married.
