This is the original version of Meetings and Farewells. Personally, I like this version better…there have been a couple changes, though.
And Pred, Pele, and anyone else from Pixel, I hope ya like it: D
Meetings
Their first meeting was when they were toddlers. At the time, the blonde was lost, and the black-haired boy took him back to his family. After they left, however, the blonde realized he forgot to thank his savior and ask him his name.
The second time they met was years later, when they were kids- not babies anymore, but not just pre-teens yet. They both instantly recognized each other, even though they were just out of diapers when they first met. This time, when they parted, they remembered to get each other's names.
It had been even more years since they saw each other, but they recognized each other yet again, despite the changes puberty had done. He had become sturdier, was a bit more apathetic, and had grown tall for his age. The other had gotten into the sport of gambling, was becoming an alcoholic, and had several piercings in his ear. Yet they were still the best of friends, and could never be separated.
Until the letter came. He was asked if he wanted to be apprenticed to one of the most famous scientists with four others. Naturally, he accepted, and the two parted again, this time for even longer then before.
He was worried when the letters stopped. He was concerned when they told him no one was at the mansion. And he was in pain when he got past the guards and saw that the mansion was wreaked, and the seven scientists were nowhere to be found. He looked all over, and tried to keep searching even while he was dragged away.
When the black creatures attacked, he fought back, somehow knowing they were the reason his friend was gone. As they took something from his chest, his last thought was that he would never see his friend again.
Which is why he was surprised when he woke up in a city, illuminated only by neon lights and a half-finished heart shaped moon in the sky. As an eye-patched man led him to a giant white castle in the sky, he wondered if his friend was somewhere out there, without a heart like himself.
So when he was left alone with their Number III, he was half-surprised and half-relieved, even if they didn't have emotions.
"…Dilan?"
"…It's Xaldin now, Ruold."
"Well, then, it's Luxord now, Xaldin. So, what so you say? Fourth time the charm?"
"…Heh. Why not?"
The taller of the two grabbed the shorter by the shoulders and together they walked into a portal, this time determined to stay together.

Farewells
It wasn't fair. They had finally found each other, and now this one boy wanted to tear them apart. Well, he wouldn't let him. He was going to beat him, turn the Beast into a Heartless and a Nobody, and then go back to the Castle That Never Was to beat whoever- oh, wait, didn't he agree that was a good name?
So when the final blow was struck to him and he was sucked back into Darkness, his last thought was that he would never see the blonde again, and he screamed in (fake? No- real) fear and sorrow, which his opponents thought as pain and anger.

He was going to kill him. Why not? He killed him, so it was justice. Not to mention that there was only he, Saix, and Xemnas now. Sora, Riku, and their obnoxious friends had killed the other members, including…
Him. Years and years passed since they were together again, so where did the Great (with sarcasm) Keyblade Master get off that he could kill them just for their non-existence? He was going to get revenge.
But then the blade forced him to his knees. No one besides him had been able to do that. The boy was stronger then he thought- too strong, even for Saix. No wonder he and the others had failed. But, he thought as he faded into the Darkness, at least I'll be with him, this time…this time…
For good.
