AUTHOR'S NOTE: Probably not the best way to break into the Ouran fan fiction area. I wrote this at 11pm, while mostly asleep. It's meant to be like spoken out loud by the twins. The bolded is Hikaru, the italicized is Kaoru. And the things that are both and underlined are both of them. It's a pretty weird poem I admit. (Note: Format got lost in translation somehow . Cursed computer)

DISCLAIMER//: I don't own OHSHC [ Sadly.

Can you tell us apart?
We bet you can't.
Nobody can.
It's a game, you see.
Where everybody loses

Even us.
And so you ask why we play this game?
Because we want somebody to tell us apart.
We want somebody to be able to look at us and know

We're not the same person

But alas, nobody ever wins.

Maybe the maid was right Maybe we are too similar.

Maybe there will never be anybody who can tell us apart

So maybe we should stop playing this game

But we can't Because for some unknown reason

We're hoping there is one person

At least one person

Who can look at us and know

We aren't the same.

Because our whole lives

It's been us Inside our own little world

Safely cut off from everybody

And this game we play is a way

To keep people out

To protect ourselves

And it's a game that nobody has won yet.

And maybe nobody ever will

Yet we can't give up.

Our world can't be this way Forever.

So let's play the game.

The game that's become oh so famous

Among the screaming fan girls

And mischievous maids

Take a good look

And take your pick

"Which one is Hikaru?"

And if you get it right,
Maybe just maybe

We'll let you inside our world.
