It was a bright and sunny day in Cardiff. For once it had stopped raining and the golden sun shone in the clear blue sky.
"It's a perfect day for our party!" Clara remarked.
"Clara…. I really don't think this was a good idea," The Doctor said hesitantly.
"Doctor, I took care of everything: invitations, decorations, food," Clara reassured him. The Doctor glanced at the wooden picnic table that had only one slightly burnt, if not ruined, soufflé.
"Well…I told the guest to bring food…"
"Really Clara, I don't think this is-"
"We can't call it off now, Doctor" Clara interrupted, "Everything's set, I'm really not sure why you haven't had a companion reunion before."
"Er…Clara…there's just one thing-"
"Don't worry Doctor, I've thought of everything," Clara interjected cutting The Doctor off in mid-sentence once again.
"Very well then," The Doctor said defeated. He straightened his bow tie as he thought for a second.
"Clara…who did you invite?"
"Well, the TARDIS had a database of all your companions so I invited some of the more recent ones, Jack and Martha Jones," she answered. The Doctor nodded in approval, remembering all their adventures.
"I invited the Ponds,"
"The Ponds?!" The Doctor exclaimed
"Yes, of course, although they never replied… is something wrong?"
"Um…no…go on," The Doctor replied uncomfortably.
"Donna Noble, Astrid someone or another," Clara continued as The Doctor slowly rubbed his forehead.
"Doctor, are you sure nothing's wrong?"
"No, no, everything is just…fantastic."
"Alright, I also invited Mickey Smith and I was going to invite Rose Tyler but I guess she lives in another dimension…anyway we should get the rest of the party set up, the guests will be here any moment now. This is going to be so fun!"
"Right," The Doctor sighed," Is that it?"
"There were might be one or two people's names I've forgotten; it'll be a fun surprise!"
"Surprise" a new voice entered. The Doctor spun on his heels to face a tall woman with curly blond hair who was carrying a green pitcher.
"Hello Sweetie."
