Hey all! This is my RoyEd day contribution! Happy RoyEd Day everyone!

Hope you enjoy!

Edward looked around the empty office, his hand playing with the change he had in his pocket. He slowly walked around the large office, looking at the knick-knacks and books that decorated the shelves. He walked by the leather sofa and trailed his hand over the back of it.

Ed walked past a mirror hanging in the office and his lips tilted upward a little. His hair had grown longer over the years and now a few strands of white were embedded into it. Twenty some odd years of being in immersed in a world of politics did that to a person.

He walked toward the Fuhrer's desk -well, as of today that wasn't right anymore. He walked toward the President's desk. He looked at the pictures on the desk and smiled, his hands tracing the curves in the dark wood.

Roy had finally done it. He'd finally turned Amestris into a democracy. He had successfully been elected by the people as the country's first president and would hold office for another four years unless he was reelected. Roy was finishing up the press conference Ed had left early from.

He played with the coins in his pocket as he heard the door open and close. Looking up, he nodded at his president as he walked around the desk.

"So how's it feel, Mr. President?"

Roy chuckled and wrapped his arms around the blonde's waist. Edward's arms went around Roy's shoulders and his fingers tangled into the still mainly dark, but greying, hair.

"Pretty good," resting their foreheads against each other, Roy tightened his grip on Edward. "You left the press meeting."

Ed shrugged a little. "You know I don't like being in small stuffy rooms full of reporters. Damn bastards who detail every movement I make and turn it into some obscure meaning. I didn't miss anything important, did I?"

Roy chuckled lightly and shook his head. "Nothing extraordinary."

Edward smiled and tilted his head up, their lips overlapping. The kiss was short and sweet, not a lot of time for things to heat up when they knew some of the press would be swarming the office for pictures soon.

Stepping apart, Ed's hand returned to his pocket.

"I suppose I owe you some money, President Bastard." Edward brought the coins out of his pocket and deposited them into Roy's open palm. The older man quickly counted the change and nodded.

"Right, five hundred and twenty cenz exactly. Thanks for finally returning my money, Edward. I was afraid you would forget the amount you owed me."

"You're such a goddamn penny-pincher," the blonde shook his head as he turned and began to walk away. Roy watched, confused at his sudden action, until the younger stopped. Ed turned around with a large smirk settled onto his face. "On second thought, Roy, I'm going to need to borrow some change."

"Again?" Roy asked, frowning, but nonetheless dropped the coins into Ed's waiting hand.

"Yeah," he pocketed the change again and stepped closer to Roy. "Now that you've succeeded in becoming Fuhrer as well as changing the government to a democracy; I'll pay you back when you actually step down from office in four to eight years."

"That long?" Roy asked, unable to stop himself from wrapping his arms around Ed and drawing him close.

Ed nodded into Roy's shoulder. "Yeah, then after you're done in office, we can finally take that vacation we've been wanting to go on." He let out a small laugh as the newly named president rubbed his nose against a ticklish part of the blonde's neck.

"Mhm, that does sound nice, maybe I won't be running for a second term."

"I'm sure you will, that's why I'm keeping your change until then." Golden eyes narrowed slightly at the smug face.

"Well, Mr. Mustang, it'll be my pleasure to prove you wrong." Before Ed could argue with him, Roy sealed his lips quickly.

The five hundred and twenty cenz promise was once again, and for the final time, renewed.
