A drabble, I posted this on another site as well. Same one as Strength. Do hope you enjoy!
He had been the proudest man on planet earth when they told him they were going to use his character's name as the name for their child. He had given them a name and become a godfather without even meaning to.
When he fought Pain and was on the verge of death he had been the happiest man. He had finished his best novel and he had gotten to meet one of the greatest children in the world and had gotten the chance to train that child.
As he stood watching down at said child he was happy and proud to say that he had helped in the fact that he could so easily grasp the Sage training, even if Kyuubi kept rejecting the help that was offered. The determination the boy shined with was enough for him.
He believed himself the luckiest man to have ever gotten the chance to have met the child of his student. The happiest man to have gotten the chance to get to know the child that would one day save Konoha.
The proudest godfather/grandfather in knowing that, that child was his godson and that he loved him like a grandson.
But most of all he believed himself the most blessed of men to have met Naruto.
