Kylo wakes up in the deserted snow planet not realizing Poe had caused the destruction of the planet. "Everyone must think I'm dead," Kylo says to himself as he realizes no one took the time to look for him before evacuating. Kylo deviates a plan to kill Rey himself but in order to do that he has to get back his strength and find another lightsaber, one powerful enough to destroy Rey. Months pass by and Kylo works on building a spaceship and succeeds. He navigates his spaceship and uses the light of the sun to create the most powerful lightsaber out there. He is now ready to face Rey.
During these months Rey and Finn have been reigning the sand planet happily. Rey as the ruler and Finn teaches the baby storm troopers how to fight. One normal day Kylo comes to the sand planet and approaches Finn while he is out at lunch with Poe and Chewie. Kylo begins fighting all three with his new light saber. He attacks Chewie first who is wounded by his own gun; Kylo's lightsaber's brightness blinded him into accidentally shooting himself. Poe after seeing the lightsaber runs away, scared, he runs to tell Rey. Finn fights bravely but loses. Just as Finn is on the ground Kylo is about to kill him Kylo smiles and backs away. Kylo goes to his sand tower waiting for the next battle with Rey.
Rey calls Leia to complain about Kylo. Leia and Rey decide to approach Kylo's tower. Kylo has kidnapped his uncle Luke. Kylo is still bitter that Luke did not accept his Judaism so he hates his uncle now. Leia arrives and tries to reason with Kylo, but it is too late, Kylo decides to lock Leia so she won't interfere with his plans. Kylo plans on killing Luke after he destroys Rey. Rey arrives with a lightsaber made from the sand planet's 3 sun. She and Kylo start fighting, one of the sabers accidentally sets Leia free. She goes to Luke to let him free. Kylo notices Leia getting out and as he turns he accidentally wounds Leia. Leia is on the ground weaker by the moment. Luke and Rey rush by her side trying to help her. They take her to Finn hoping he knows how to save her. Kylo runs to his spaceship and travels to the charcoal planet in hopes to find something to save his mom.
