Summary: Orihime celebrates her birthday with her friends.
Orihime always looked forward to birthdays, whether they were for one of her friends or for herself, since it meant being able to have a fun party with all her friends. Sometimes it would be the traditional birthday at a friend's place with the usual cake and presents, but sometimes it would be going out somewhere like to the amusement park or a karaoke place. Either way it made Orihime happy to be with her friends for almost the entire day and she always loved seeing the faces of people when she managed to get them the gift they had been wanting.
Of course Orihime felt a bit awkward when it was her birthday and she was the one receiving the gifts, as she had spent so many years celebrating her birthday alone with her brother. But knowing that her friends probably put just about as much thought and effort into getting her a gift as she did getting gifts for them, there was no way she could reject such gifts.
Traditionally after her birthday party Tatsuki would sleep over at her place, helping her clean up if needed and just kept her company late into the night talking about just about anything and everything Orihime felt like talking about. The auburn haired girl was grateful for Tatsuki for this since it stopped her from dwelling and becoming depressed about the fact her brother wasn't there anymore for her birthday.
Tatsuki uses the extra futon to set up next to Orihime's when it's time to sleep and sometimes they talked a bit more and sometimes they just laid in comfortable silence until they fell asleep. Either way Orihime couldn't help but think that the best present of her birthday was having someone to celebrate growing older with.
