A/N: From a prompt I got at tumblr. Short and fun!

"What's up, Robin?" David wondered as he adjusted in his seat in the booth at Granny's diner, taking off his jacket and placing it next to him. Killian sat down next to Robin, with hair tousled just as it always were, and a small smile on his lips that had been permanently there since Emma woke him up from a curse with True Love's kiss.

Robin fiddled with his coffee cup, mentally cursing himself for behaving so immature.

"It's quite silly, really." He slumped his shoulders a bit and took a sip of his coffee, which was his new favorite beverage; he couldn't believe he'd spent a full six months in Storybrooke not even tasting it.

"You're probably exaggerating," Killian chimed in, nudging Robin with an elbow.

Feeling the gaze from both of his friends, Robin explained why he'd called them to meet with him. "As you may know, Regina and I – "

"Are shacking up," Killian interjected, wiggling his brows the tiniest bit. A laugh escaped David.

"We most certainly are not!" As he tried to sound offended, he felt the corner of his mouth threatening to turn upwards so he took another sip of the warm drink. "I do believe we share something special."

"But not a bed?"

Robin sighed even though a grin spread across his face. "Must you, Killian?"

"Aye. Why else am I here if not for my witty way with words?"

"Advice!" Robin exclaimed loudly, making Mrs. Potts at the table next to them turn around and ask them to lower their voices. All three men grinned in an apology to her.

David leaned forward, his chin in his hand. "Advice on what?"

"Well, I'm me. A thief. How does one go about asking a woman like her if she'd like to have dinner?"

Killian seemed to think it over for a short moment before he simply said, "You ask her."

Robin groaned. "Why do I even put up with you?"

"You simply cannot stand to be without me," Killian shrugged, to which Robin snorted.

David, who seemed to take it all more seriously, squinted as he thought. "Killian may have a point. Regina being, well – Regina, it might be easiest to just be upfront with her, no beating around the bush."

Horrified, Robin widened his eyes. "But what if she declines?"

"She might," Killian remarked, pointing at Robin with his head, eyebrows raised. "Given how you're dressed, mate, I'd be surprised if she doesn't send you packing before you even open your mouth."

Killian's words had the desired effect.

"Oh, is that so? Well I might as well show you just how wrong you are. Move." Robin started to leave from his seat with Killian grinning proudly at David. David laughed at both of his ridiculous friends.

Robin hadn't even fully left their table when the bell at the door chimed and Regina came in, walking straight past Granny (who wanted to take her order) towards Robin, Killian and David.

"I was just coming to find you," was all Robin could say. Damn it, he had forgotten how beautiful she was or how she made his heart beat a little bit faster or how she smelled or how she –

"How convenient." When Robin only stared stupidly at her, she sighed. "And?"

"I was just – you know, I had a simple question – maybe I could propose a suggestion – or maybe if – "

Behind him, David cleared his throat very loudly. Inside, Robin was screaming at himself for acting like a child.

Regina sighed again. "My house, tonight at seven. Bring dessert."

Robin's mouth flew open in surprise and by the time he got it to work again, Regina had been gone for several minutes.

"You're in for a wild ride with that one, mate," Killian stated when Robin sat down again. After taking a deep breath and meeting his friends eyes, all three of them started laughing, David and Killian sharing the easy joy with Robin; friends through pain, and friends through happiness. What else was friends be for?
