Impatience
"I can't STAND it!!!" Jill stamped one foot down onto the pulsing soil. She threw her watering can onto the ground and stomped to the Harvest Goddess's Pond in a rage. Glaring at the crystal clear water, she shook her fist.
"How hard are you going to make me work for you and your stupid harvest sprites!?" She turned livid with anger.
"I've got Skye up to a Red Heart, I've got a Blue Feather... And when I try to propose..." She whipped out a crumbly, charcoal colored feather.
"...THIS happens! Send a sprite down to burn the feather, will you?! You ungrateful devil! I worked my butt off to earn enough gold for a feather AND to get you back, and this is how you thank me!" The water rippled peacefully, as if to mock her.
"I had to buy an additional 2,000 rice balls and curry powder sachets, pick 2,000 colored grasses, and mine myself to unconsciousness in order to get enough Jewelery to win his heart! And you didn't even allow me to wear any of the 200 necklaces I dug up! A girl needs to dress up sometimes, you know!" Jill fumed.
A Harvest Sprite appeared in a cloud of sparkles before her.
"You have to concentrate on your work before marriage! You weren't even supposed to have a boyfriend yet! Get our Goddess back first!" It squeaked.
By now, Jill was more than angry. She was FURIOUS.
"AARGH!!!!!!!!!!" She started to punch the little elf. Of course, this wouldn't have done any damage had Jill not taken those Boxing, Karate and Judo Lessons.
Soon, the little snooty creature was lying on the grass with at least 10 broken bones. A strange ball of light radiated out of its chest, and almost immediately, a squadron of healing sprites came trooping out of the tree nearby. They looked around, then spotted the dark blue unconscious sprite. Each and every one of them gasped.
"GUS!!!!!!!!" They all squealed in horror. Looking at the deranged Jill, who was celebrating a triumphant victory, they frowned.
"You there!" One sprite jabbed its tiny forefinger at her.
"Me?" Jill innocently cocked her head to one side.
"Yeah, YOU." It squeaked. "Whaddaya think you did to Gus!?"
"I beat him up." Jill smirked. "What are you going to do 'bout it?"
"This." The Sprite whistled, and a shower of dark sparkles surrounded Jill.
"Huh?" Jill glanced through the dark shroud. When the sparkles faded away, the sprite grinned triumphantly.
"Congratulations! You now have an extra 60 sprites to find!" The sprite cackled.
"W-wait! You can't do this to me!" Jill babbled.
"Oh, but I just did." It gave a psychopathic laugh, motioned to the sprites, and carried Gus away.
Jill followed it, complaining the whole way. The sprites ran into the tree, and shut the door behind them. SLAM!
"Hey, Let me in!" She banged on the door. A sign materialized in front of the door.
~Sorry, No Deranged Farmers allowed in the Harvest Sprite Co. Tree. ~
Jill read the sign, and walked back to the pond in utter defeat. She started to sniff. Tears formed in her eyes. Soon, she broke down completely, bawling, resulting in the Harvest Goddess's pond water rise of 2 inches.
"What's the matter?" A soothing voice asked behind Jill.
"Skye! I-" Jill wiped a tear from her eye. Skye pulled her into a welcomed embrace, and Jill's tears disappeared almost completely in the warmth of his arms.
"Now, tell me, what's wrong?"
Jill sniffled.
"I-I still have to find 71 more Harvest Sprites!"
"What?"
