Karin stared up at the sky, a bit regrettful, even though she knew it was the right thing to do. She really hadn't wanted it to end, but she knew it needed to end for the both of them to be happy.
It's not that she wasn't happy, it was that Toshiro wasn't happy, and Karin knew deep down that Shiro's place was with Hinamori, and so did Toshiro. Karin would miss him, but she would get over it, and move on with her life, as Toshiro was doing with his own.
It wasn't all because he loved Hinamori, and didn't love Karin in that way. It was also because they were from two totally different worlds, literally. There were times he was sent to Karakura, and there were a few times when Karin got into Soul Society with the help of Urahara, but the visits got to be troublsome, and the two of them grew apart after awhile.
Karin and toshiro would see eachother when they could, and would still remain friends, but that would be all.
The two had decided that the break-up would be for the better, and they would wish eachother all the happiness in the world, whether they remained friends or not.
This popped into my head while listening to How You Remind Me, by Nickelback. Well, that last line did, but it turned into this little drabble on the fanfiction break-up of Karin and Toshiro, and I hope you like it. R & R!
