My Best Friend's Brother
Prologue
My Name is Isabella Marie Swan, but the elegant and formal name doesn't describe me at all. It does however describe my parents and almost anyone who knows me here.
I live in Seattle, Washington. Seattle is this big city. People are always on the go and the only time people actually give a crap about each other is when they are trying to throw their status in front of each other's faces. It is absolutely ludicrous and I loathe it with a passion.
I live in this gigantic mansion. It's absolutely ridiculous because it is just my mother, father and my brother, Emmett. So as I am sure you have already guessed the house is just purely for looks. It just another way for my parents to waste their money, not that it matters to them that there are people out there who actually could put that money to use. I mean have they ever heard of poverty?
Well of course they have that's why they have a charity out there for people who were in Katrina and Haiti. It is such a shame what they actually know about the cause. I actually put my money in something I care and know about, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. I basically love children and I love doing anything I can to help.
I shouldn't expect much from my parents though since they barely pay any attention to me as it is anyway. My parents don't even understand me.
See, I shop at places like Spencer's and Hot Topic. I like ripped up jeans, tore up stockings, band logo shirts kind of thing. When I got my first tattoo and nose piercing to say they were upset would be the least. My parents were furious to think that I would even step the boundaries of ruining their perfect image.
Apparently my manners are atrocious. So atrocious in fact that they decided to take me to finishing school. I have just gotten back from it in London. My parents seem to want to show off their "new" daughter. My mom threw me a ball at our hate balls. Everyone who is supposedly anyone is supposed to be here.
Even my brother is excited. He's changed a lot since I have gotten back. He has a new girlfriend and he hasn't even tried to hang out with me. All of his attempts have fallen through. I don't even know who he is anymore. Mom used to look at him as if to be discussed and now she seems to have the sparkling eyes of approval. I feel like a stranger in my own home. Little did I know then that these things that I felt such an outsider to would lead me to something worthwhile?
Okay, so I am hoping to get a lot of reviews on how that was.. So please let me know! After a few I am hoping to do another one very soon. I am should be able to update another chapter on "Speak Now" before the weekend is over :)
Okay enough rambling REVIEW! :D
