You always watch from the shadows,
Always there to protect me.
Should any dare to harm me,
You will come to my rescue,
An Avenging Angel.

You are my Angel of the Night,
My one true love,
My soulmate.
Our love forbidden,
Yet our hearts do not care.

Your presence fills me when you are near,
Yet that nearness may cost you your soul.
So you leave.
My heart breaks with longing for you.
None shall take your place.

You tell me to live my life,
Yet without you,
I have no life.
My Angel of the Night,
I need you.
