Merlin instantly what was coming. Morgana had already thrown the poisoned dagger, heading straight for Arthur. No one saw Morgana or the flying blade.

Merlin was already near Arthur, he ran as fast as his legs could, pushing Arthur out of the way and letting himself take the blade. It plunged right into his flesh; hot blood instantly soaked his clothes.

"Merlin!" The king shouted after realizing what went off. He caught a glimpse of the smirking Morgana. It wasn't just any poison. It was a poison that there is no cure to.

Morgana was out of sight in a blink of an eye, and that was what pissed of Arthur the most. Fleeing right after she had wounded Merlin. She had been planning from the very beginning; she knew he would protect Arthur, no matter what.

The king kneeled beside the dying warlock, Knights gathered around but not crowding. Merlin is choking out breaths as Arthur beings to drip with tears.

"I never really told you… How much you mean to me." Arthur began to pour his heart out, cradling him.

"Even though you maybe a complete fool at times… You're the bravest man I've ever known. I don't know how many times you've saved my life. You keep advising me about things, important little things but I don't listen. You put up with that. And I know how much you probably hate me right now. Even at times when I insult you or hurt you, you still carry on serving me with honour."

Arthur unexpectedly stopped, more fresh tears rolled down his cheek, collecting at the jaw line.

"You don't die on me, got that? It's an order. An order that you must forever obey! You can't die! Who's going to clean my room? Wash my clothes? Guide me through my life?! You may be the worst servant ever but you sure are the best friend I could ever ask for… Without you, I think I would be a bad king. You've guided me at every step of the way."

Merlin's breath got slower and fainter. If he didn't die of the poison, he'd sure die of blood loss.

"So I'm telling you…DON'T DIE ON ME! I'M TELLING YOU! Don't you dare! Don't you dare! You die now I would be no more."

The Warlock only had at least a minute left. And with that minute he spoke,

"Y… You… You K... Know me… N… Never listen… Be… Besides, Servants… a… are replaceable…"

"BUT FRIENDS AREN'T! You may think you're worthless but you're not. YOU ARE NOT," Arthur let a hand free to wipe his beads of tears away,

"Everyone cares about you! Everyone thinks of you highly! You're also Percival, Gwaine, Mordred and Leon's friends! Do want to let them down?!"

The dying man smiled, "Arthur… Ho… Hones…ly… Serving…Y… You…. Is… the best….T… Time… I… Ever had…." Merlin's voice faded at the last word, his last breath was drawn and dead. Just like he was.

The king screamed into Merlin's chest, even muffled the scream was piercing. Gwaine told the others to just go, he was also weeping.

"MERLIN! You come back! You come back right now! You hear me?! YOU COME BACK!" Repeating over and over and over. Crying his eyes out, begging forever.

The Knights dare not go near him, in this fit of emotions they don't know what he'll do. Even Arthur wouldn't know what he will do.

This is the day that the great Warlock, Merlin died. The Druids will know of it soon. Every magical creature will know of it soon. And they too, will be outraged. So much that they will declare war on Morgana, and everyone who obeys her.

"Merlin… I'm taking you back to Camelot. I will avenge you." And with that said, he also is declaring war with Morgana. So much hatred towards one person is enough. But enough is never enough.

"Gwaine! Go and search for Morgana with some knights. Tell her personally… We're going to War!"

And with those words finely spoken.

Arthur has only one goal.

To kill Morgana.
