Chapter 1 Rise and New Start

AN: Yep bring this story back. My good friends and I look over it and saw some big mistakes. So I remove the story and now its back, better than ever.

I don't own DC or its characters and themes.

Now enjoy

This was a sad day, not just for the Justice League or for Metropolis but for the whole world. As this day marks the day where one of greatest heroes gave his life to stop the unstoppable monster and lost his life.

Today was the day that The Man of Tomorrow, The Man of Steel, The Symbol of Hope and Freedom, known as Superman, had died. He died to protect Metropolis and everyone in the whole world, he died to stop a monster known as... ... Doomsday.

The police and the army had no effect against Doomsday, they could not stop him. The Justice League were all thrown around like rag-dolls. Only Superman was able to stop that mindless monster before any more lives could be ruined or get hurt by It. Today was a dark day, as earth's greatest hero was gone, and that fact left a big impact for the whole world to remember.

Gotham City

Somewhere in Gotham, in a safe house, sat another member of The Justice League, this was Gotham's Watchful Guardian and Dark Knight; Batman. He sat there without his cowl and showed that he was in fact, Bruce Wayne. He was in deep thought about many things and was wondering about a few more. One of them was Superman's death of course, but he also thought on The Clown's death, and his son's betrayal. Damian the former 4th Robin had betrayed him not so long ago. He wasn't so sure if he should keep on going, to keep on fighting, to keep on being The Batman, but that thought was soon pushed away from his mind due to a few people that cared about him. They stopped him from pushing them away and allowed them into his heart.

In fact, one of those people was coming to the safe-house to meet with the Dark Knight, nothing about being heroes or warriors, but something else and she had entered the building with two little ones in her arms.

She was a young woman with blue eyes and long black hair tied up into a ponytail. She wore a red and silver outfit with a sword, shield, and golden lasso. This woman was another founding member of the Justice League; Wonder Woman aka Diana of Themyscira, or to the public, Diana Prince. In her arms were two almost one-month old babies and they were their children.

Yes, both the Dark Knight of Gotham and the Warrior Princess of Themyscira had a romance that had led to the two having twins, one boy, and a girl had been brought into their lives. The twins were born a good while before Superman's death and they become a big part of the two heroes' lives.

"You weren't followed?" Bruce asked.

Diana shook her head as she puts the twins in their bed to rest from their trip and said, "No. We weren't followed. I took careful steps and made sure the little ones were safe on their trip here."

"I see," Bruce simply said, looking at the resting twins, before watching the window to see most of Gotham City.

He did this to think over some things that had been on his mind.

Diana looked at Bruce in concern, sensing his troubles and walked up to him. She knew what had happened to the man she loves with all of her heart and how much pain he was going through, what with Damian's betrayal and of course the death of Kal, or Clark, who had been the closest thing to a brother that Bruce had ever had. They had both asked him to be the godfather of the twins, and now he was gone, the best, the strongest, the most powerful of them all, and he was dead.

"You know that's not your fault, Bruce," Diana said as she hugged Bruce behind and started to calm him down.

"What, wasn't? There's a lot that...," Bruce asked.

"Damian betraying you and Clark's death. None of that was your fault," Diana answered.

Bruce sighed and said, "I know. But that doesn't make it any easier for me."

"It's never easy Bruce, but you still keep on going. Firstly Bruce, Clark would not want you to wallow in sadness, just as you would not wish that on him, you and I both know that he would expect you to grieve for him, yes, but more than that. He'd expect you to "Soldier On" he continues the good fight. In fact, he'd most likely wallow in his own grave if you just gave up, well unless you were pushing 90, then he'd let you give up." Bruce chuckled at that, and Diana continued speaking, "As for Damian, he may have been your offspring by blood, but he wasn't your son. He was his Mother's Son and his Grandfather's Heir. He was raised to be a cold-blooded and heartless assassin," Diana said, and this calmed Bruce down a bit.

Bruce knew that Diana was right, and he always calmed down when being near her. She always knew how to calm and relax the man she loves.

The Amazon couldn't help herself in remembering how it all started between her and the Dark Knight. That one night of passion, love, and pleasure lead to the two of them to be together. Sometime later, Diana had found out that she was pregnant, being shocked and overwhelmed by this news, and knowing who the father was. She had told Bruce about the big news once she calmed down enough to thick rationally.

To say Bruce was shocked that he was going to be a father again so soon was the understatement of the decade, and this time it would be to his and Diana's child (Now children). He had adoptive children sure, and he had a biological son as well, true. But he never once raised little ones from infancy, and so this was something new. Not just for him, but for the princess as well.

The pair went through their lives to the birth of a new chapter in their life and soon enough the twins were born. Bruce and Diana were happy to have their children in their lives.

Bruce and Diana were snapped out of their thoughts when the twins started to wake up and waited for their parents to comfort them. The boy had blonde hair - much like his maternal grandmother Queen Hippolyta - his hair also had very little black highlights on the sides, and his eyes when he opened them were a beautiful ocean blue. The girl had pure black hair and dark blue eyes. Their names are Naruto and Artemis, children of the Bat and Princess.

One might wonder where the name Naruto came from, and if asked Bruce would say that Naruto was a good friend of his from Japan, who had died saving his life, many years ago. As for Artemis, Diana had named her that after her sister Artemis of Bana-Mighdall, who had been named godmother of the twins.

Bruce held the little girl in his arms, calming Artemis as she loved being held by her daddy. Diana held their boy in her arms, getting Naruto to relax and smile at being so close to his parents and twin sister.

"You know Bruce that these two coming to you now is going to have a big impact on the world, and on us," Diana said, placing her hand near her son so he could grab it and hold on to her fingers.

"I know and I want to see if... to see if this time it can work out," Bruce said, wanting this to work and have a family bigger.

The Princess smiled as she moves close to her Knight and the two enjoyed the moment with their kids for the rest of day. They both knew that they would have to face challenges, enemies, death, gods, and other things in the future, but this was a new challenge for them. To raise the next members of the Bat Clan and this family will get bigger test for them both.
