DAMN IT!
THIS ISN'T FAIR!
Why did this have to happen? His brother, his best friend, his twin! He was gone!
DEAD!
They had joked, they had laughed, and they had been so sure the two of them would make it out of this war together.
They were a duo, a team. That's what they've always been; where one was the other was sure to follow. He wasn't even sure he could stand to be by himself. His only comfort was the mirror that reflected Fred's face back at him.
But, it was wrong.
Fred was dead, but he was whole. He didn't have a missing ear. He would forever curse Snape's name; he didn't care that the man had been on their side the whole time. He had taken something away from him that could never be returned; his brother's face.
He cursed the mirror as well; why did it have to show everything exactly as it was? Couldn't it have a bit of kindness and show what he wanted.
"Mirrors are nice, but they never seem to show what I want anymore." Harry said to him once in sadly before the wedding when he was fidgeting with his ear. He didn't understand what he meant then, but as he punched it strongly enough to shatter it he understood.
"Stupid thing is always broken," George muttered bitterly.
