AN: Hello there. Just wanted to put this up for Valentine's Day. Anyhow, hope you shared this day with someone you love, whether they be your spouse/lover/family member/best friend. And even though I think Valentine's Day is probably nonexistent in the FMA world, just believe it does.

Roy woke up to the bright light shining through the curtained windows, the dim room seeming cozy and warm. Slowly, he turned on his side and wrapped his arms around his wife's body, curving his length against her, breathing in the scent of her golden hair.

"Hey," Riza spoke, chuckling a bit as Roy snuggled deeper and tickled her with his hair. Roy responded with something akin to what she had just said, slightly muffled as his lips were pressed into her hair.

"Happy Valentine's Day." Roy spoke once he had raised his head, smiling at his beautiful wife. Lightly, he pecked her lips and planted another one on her cheek.

Suddenly, the door to their room opened and came in their six-year old son Rhys. The little Roy lookalike jumped into the bed and into the arms of his parents, wrapped by his father's warm embrace and tickled endlessly by his mother.

"Mommy! Stop it! Daddy, make mommy stop it!" Rhys cried as his pale face turned red with laughter and exertion. Roy's smile was as wide as a canyon as he hugged his child closer to him, his heart swelling up at the sight of his wife and son laughing together.

The sound of barking caught their attention and the three looked to the door as Black Hayate, no longer a pup but a graceful, black-and-white canine, bounded into the room and jumped into the bed.

"Hayate! No coming into the bed." Riza began to scold but Rhys waved his arms around.

"No, mommy. I want Hayate to stay!" Rhys asked as he grabbed the dog and hugged it to his body. The canine responded with a bark and a lick on his face. Riza rolled her eyes and sighed. She then smiled as she petted the dog, beginning to tell Rhys more of her stories about Hayate and the days of old, the days of the military, the days when Roy and Riza were still two soldiers dreaming big dreams.

As Riza began to tell Rhys of her stories, Roy smiled softly. This was his family, this was his home. Valentine's Day never seemed so perfect than it did now.

AN: It was short and very fluffy, but I liked it! I hope you did, too! Take care and enjoy your day.
