Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I posted "Dreaming of You." I have been slowly working on this story, usually only writing while actually watching wrestling. That being said, I came up with this idea before WWE actually teased us with the Bayley/Sasha Banks storyline but I hope people enjoy my view of the angle. I'm really proud of this story so I wanted to post it :). I tried to keep this semi-realistic and made it as close to a television program so let me know what you think of the style by leaving a comment! Thanks everyone!

In the women's locker room, the camera pans from the red boots to the determined face of "The Boss" Sasha Banks as she gets ready for her tag team match. As she finishes putting on her armbands, her tag team partner Bayley appears in the frame, her usual smile adorning her face. Sasha returns the smile as she goes to hug her friend.

"You ready to win tonight?" Sasha asks.

"Almost, but my tights had a small tear so wardrobe is patching them up for me. I was just going to say I'll meet you out there."

"Oh okay but don't make me wait too long… I can't wait to wipe the floor with Emma. She still thinks she can beat us," she says with a roll of her eyes.

"I know, right?" Bayley replies with a chuckle. "Don't worry, Emma and Fox are gonna get destroyed. I'll see you out there." Bayley leaves and Sasha throws her jacket on, teases her long pink hair, and leaves to start warming up for the match.

Later in the night, Bayley's music pumps through the arena and the crowd comes to their feet as "the huggable one" appears on the stage. Her characteristic inflatable tube men appear on her flanks as she raises her arms and bops her head to the music.

"Making her way to the ring, from San José, California, Bayley!" JoJo announces as she walks down to the ring, stopping at the bottom of the ramp to wait for her partner. "And in the ring, the team of Emma and Alicia Fox!"

Bayley smirks as her music cuts off in preparation for Sasha's to be played. She bounces on the balls of her feet for a moment but almost twenty seconds goes by and Sasha's music hasn't started. Bayley looks back to the top of the ramp in confusion.

"Where could Sasha be?" Corey Graves asks his broadcast partner Michael Cole.

"Well, we're getting word from Kurt Angle that Sasha hasn't arrived for her match, so Bayley will either have to compete by herself or forfeit the match entirely!" Michael answers.

The referee exits the ring and starts talking to Bayley, relaying the same information from the back. Bayley frowns and starts talking to the ref, her words drowned out by the voices of crowd chanting, "We want Sasha," repeatedly. Bayley strongly nods her head in determination and slides into the ring, the ref following close behind. He goes and speaks to JoJo before heading to Emma and Alicia to explain the situation.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed by word of general manager Kurt Angle, that Sasha Banks has not arrived for her match. However, Bayley has agreed to compete in a handicap match!" The crowd boos their disapproval as confident smiles appear on the faces of Bayley's opponents. Emma steps out onto the apron and Bayley and Alicia square up after the bell rings.

"Looks like Alicia Fox is going to start things off, talking some trash." Alicia open-hand slaps Bayley across the face and taunts her. The crowd boos in disapproval as Bayley flinches in pain. "Oh! Such disrespect shown by Fox."

"Alicia is just showing that she isn't going to go easy on Bayley just because she's fighting alone," Graves responds.

"Well hopefully, we get an update on the whereabouts of Sasha Banks, but for now, OH! Bayley unloading with some forearms, taking Fox by surprise."

Bayley then throws Fox off the ropes and rocks her with a strong clothesline.

"Alicia's had enough as she scrambles to tag in her partner. Emma is now legal but Bayley isn't letting up! She clubs her off the apron and now she's just kicking Alicia, forcing her out of the ring!"

"Well if there's one thing we know about Bayley is that she isn't going to back down," Corey comments.

The crowd roars in approval as Bayley starts pumping the crowd up. When Bayley notices Alicia's back to the ring, she runs off the opposite ropes and baseball slides Fox in the back, knocking her to the floor.

"The crowd is fully behind Bayley now!" Cole remarks after the huge spot. Bayley is then clotheslined from behind to the floor.

"But the numbers game Michael, Bayley wasn't paying attention to Emma."

"And we can see from the replay that when Bayley hit the baseball slide and slid to the outside, Emma ducked out of the way." Emma and Alicia start stomping Bayley on the floor while the ref yells at them to get back into the ring.

"Emma and Fox taking exception to Bayley's flurry of offense and giving it right back to her," Corey says with some satisfaction. Emma picks up her prey and together with Alicia, they perform a double suplex on the outside. The crowd 'ooohs' as Bayley folds up in pain, clutching her back. "Oh man, that's really going to change the pace of this match. That was devastating."

Emma throws Bayley back into the ring. The damage from the double suplex makes the rest of the short match a wash, as any attempt at a comeback is quickly snuffed out with vicious right hands, clotheslines, DDT's, and suplexes. At the end of the match, Emma tags Alicia in, and slowly picks up Bayley. She bends her over and holds up her limp body, allowing Alicia to deliver her Scissors Kick for the victory. The crowd is almost silent as the ref counts to three on the pinfall.

"Here are your winners, Emma and Alicia Fox!" JoJo announces.

"Well, you have to give Bayley some credit for trying but it might not have been in her best interest to take that match," Corey says while Emma and Fox raise their hands.

"She's a former Raw Women's Champion, she's not going to back down from a fight!" Cole replies in defense of Bayley. "Regardless, Bayley's chances at winning were slim. I'm sure she's wondering where her friend was this whole time."

Inside the ring, Emma looks down at the fallen superstar and then gets an evil smile on her face. She says something to Alicia before turning Bayley onto her front; she crosses Bayley's ankles before inserting her lower leg in between them; she then bends backwards and grabs Bayley's chin, cinching in her "Emma-Lock" finisher. Bayley starts groaning in pain and tapping the mat in submission. Alicia gets down in Bayley's face and starts taunting her. "Where's Sasha, where's Sasha?" she says while rubbing her eyes like she's crying.

"Oh, this is just despicable," Cole states. "The ref's gotta pull them off her."

Two referees do just that, pulling the two women off Bayley and making them leave the ring. They are happy to oblige, their appetite for pain satiated with Bayley's beaten body on the mat.

Later on, Bayley is sitting in the locker room of the arena, being tended to by the athletic trainer, ice wrapped on her shoulder and back. She thanks the man then takes a deep breath as he leaves, frustrated with the night's events.

"Bayley!" Sasha enters the locker room, worry on her face. "Are you okay? I−"

"Where were you?" Bayley asks somewhat angrily at her friend. "I just got my ass beat because I thought you would show up."

"Bayley, I was attacked!" she replies.

Bayley's face turns to worry. "Wait, what?!"

"I was warming up for our match and I got attacked from behind. When I came to, our match was already over."

"Oh, I see," she says sadly. "Sorry I snapped…did you see who did it?" Bayley asks.

"No, I was rammed into one of the equipment trucks. No one else was around to confirm but I'm sure it was Emma or Alicia."

"Most likely… that was their plan all along, to separate us and then beat us up." Bayley slams her fist on the table and grunts in anger, quickly grabbing her shoulder and regretting using her hurt arm.

Sasha puts her hand on Bayley's good shoulder. "Well next week, we'll get our rematch and show them who's boss," she says, tongue-in-cheek.

The following week, Bayley enters the arena with her bag of ring gear, a big smile on her face as usual. She says "hello" to many of the backstage workers, as well as a couple superstars. She spies Kurt Angle down the hall and he's looking right at her with concern in his eyes. "Hi Kurt, what's up?" she asks, a frown coming to her face when she notices his demeanor.

"It's Sasha, she was attacked again."

"Wait, what?! Is she okay?"

"She's with the doctor right now, I can take you over there." Bayley nods in agreement and the two of them head towards the treatment room to check in with her. They arrive to see Sasha holding her oft-injured back while the doctor asks her some questions. "Could you give us the room?" Kurt asks the doctor, who silently leaves upon the request.

"Are you okay?" Bayley asks, sitting next to her friend and putting her arm around her shoulders.

Sasha shakes her head. "My back is killing me… I was about to go work out and I got nailed with a dumbbell in my back."

"Did you see who did it?" the GM asks. She just shakes her head again. "Well, I'm definitely canceling your guys' match; you're not in any shape to compete tonight Sasha."

Sasha puts her hand up in disagreement. "I don't care how hurt I am… for whatever reason Emma and Alicia have a problem with me and keep attacking me from behind. I want to take them down face-to-face."

"Sasha, we can just fight them next week; you don't need to hurt yourself over it right now," Bayley responds with concern.

Sasha doesn't say anything to Bayley but looks right at the GM. "The match is on."

Kurt Angle just looks at the two women and shrugs. "You got it… good luck." The GM leaves and Bayley looks worriedly at Sasha, while Sasha's face is etched in pure determination.

Later in the night, Emma and Fox are waiting and laughing in the ring as Sasha Banks' hip-hop music starts. Usually full of spunk and bravado, the vibrant-haired superstar just marches out and stares down her opponents. As she reaches the bottom of the ramp, she starts barking words at Emma and Alicia that they are more than ready to return in kind.

"The Boss looks like she's all business tonight, Cole," Corey mentions.

As her music ends, Sasha runs into the ring and attacks Alicia with a forearm.

"I'd say you're right, Corey! She's not even waiting for Bayley, she just wants retribution!"

She starts flailing at both of her opponents but is quickly cut down by a strong kick to her lower back. The two start stomping a mud-hole into Sasha as Bayley's music starts and Bayley saunters out with a big smile on her face, as usual. When she notices her partner's predicament, she immediately starts running to the ring to help.

"And here comes Bayley to help her friend!"

"Sasha wouldn't need help if she was thinking straight," Corey replies.

Alicia meets her outside of the ring and tangles up with her; the two of them exchange lefts and rights without either gaining a significant advantage. Meanwhile in the ring, Emma is standing over Sasha as the latter cries out in pain and grits her teeth. Emma flips Sasha over and quickly applies the "Emma-Lock", causing the girl to scream in pain and almost immediately start tapping the mat.

"This match hasn't even officially started and Sasha is giving up to the 'Emma-Lock'… I think Kurt Angle was right to try to prevent this match from happening," Cole states.

"You're right about that," Graves replies.

Bayley, having gained a small advantage over Alicia, goes to run into the ring but face plants into the apron. She falls to the floor holding her face as Sasha continues to cry out for help.

"What happened to Bayley?!" Cole asks.

"Did you not see her fall face-first into the apron, Michael?!" Corey asks shockingly.

"I saw that, but how did it happen?!"

"We couldn't see from our vantage point but we can assume Alicia tripped her as she went to slide into the ring, that or Bayley is just clumsy."

"I highly doubt that," Cole remarks. Several referees come out to help break the hold, the match seemingly forgotten about by all parties involved. Emma stands over Sasha with a victorious look on her face before leaving the ring to a cacophony of "boos" from the crowd. One of the officials crouches down and starts talking to Sasha to assess how she's doing; she just grabs her head in her hands as she responds to his questions. Eventually, Bayley, blood slowly coming from her nose, slides in next to her friend and holds her hand. She looks up the ramp with a look of anger at Fox and Emma as they gloat during their retreat.
