"Was that really Ok for you to do that?" Otonashi is behind me, the dying sun reflecting off his face. I'm staring down at the helmet she was just wearing.

"Of course." I turnon my heel, sighing abruptly. "She'll be better off without me in her life." I grab the bat she was using half a minute ago, and toss it back and forth in my hands.

"Hinata," Otonashi started, staring at me as I continued to ignore him. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't know it would hurt you that badly."

"It doesn't matter."

He looks at me with disbelief, like I just said that Jesus never actually exsisted, or that he should rip my heart out.

"What do you mean it doesn't matter?"

I look at him. "Maybe I'll tell you when your older, but for now, I just want her to be happy, Ok?"

"Hinata-"

"I'm serious Otonashi. I just want her to be the happy person she is. And when I obliterate too, I'll find her, and maybe then, we'll be better together."

"You knew what I was doing didn't you?"

"Of course."

"So you lied to Yui?"

"No, actually I told the complete truth. I do want to marry her, but when I'm more worthy of being with her."

Author Note: Shortest story I have ever wrote. Ok, Yui and Hinata have suddenly become my obssesive favorite couple, and after my friend watches Angel Beats too, I'll try to write a longer one.
