Raven
A/N Erm hello there. This is my first time writing well anything really and I still have no idea what possessed me to do it but I figure seeing as it's written you might as well be able to read it. So here goes my little attempt at humour. Please be gentle with me.
Erik crept towards Charles' study hoping for an impromptu game of chess with the telepath but upon peeking through the door he found the room occupied by another.
Charles, Erik thought out loud why is Raven at your writing desk?
Erik very nearly visibly jumped at the volume of raucous laughter that accompanied the response.
My dear friend, do you not mean 'why is Raven like a writing desk'? Came Charles' humour-filled reply.
No I don't. Growled Erik, more than slightly annoyed by the mocking in Charles' tone I was questioning Raven's geographical location not posing hypothetical similes.
Ah, forgive me my friend Charles' reply was projected without the laughter this time but Erik swore he could feel the telepath giggling. Raven wished for some peace and my study is at the opposite side of the house to the living room that Sean and Alex are currently arguing in. Coincidently so is the library if you would like to join me for that game of chess?
As Erik headed in the direction of the library he caught an errant thought that may not have been projected purposefully.
I also have a book by Lewis Carroll which I think you may find interesting... Regardless of any intention to communicate Erik couldn't miss the humour that seeped through with this final thought.
I know it's not much but I'm feeling brave this morning. Would you mind letting me know what you think?
