I don't own Ben 10 characters.

''Thanks for taking us out for lunch,'' Ben said to Max. He never revealed the true reason why he thanked his grandfather. He glanced at Gwen as they wandered the streets of Bellwood. Ben and Gwen were never fond of Max's cooking.

''At least we won't have to eat grilled ants this time,'' Ben said to Gwen while he smiled.

Gwen grinned. ''At least we aren't battling villains now. We can eat and relax,'' she said. Gwen looked ahead.

''That's right. We don't have to worry about Sublimino trying to hypnotize us into commiting crimes,'' Ben said.

Gwen frowned. ''Sublimino will always be a villain,'' she muttered. She viewed a house burning and paused. She gasped as her eyes widened.
Gwen saw two worried people near the house. Their short forms and round sunglasses reminded her of Sublimino.

Max removed a phone from his pants pocket before he called the fire department.

Tears ran down the woman's face. She faced Sublimino's father. ''Our foolish son ran into our burning house a few minutes ago.
If he...'' Sublimino's mother refused to finish that particular sentence. She shook her head in disbelief. ''The electrical fire consumed our house.''

Sublimino's parents and the trio gasped the minute Sublimino ran out of the house.

''Why did you run into the house?'' the father asked.

Sublimino took a watch out of his vest. He heard his father while the latter gasped. He parted with the pocket watch. ''The rare watch is important to you.''

''You're important to me. I can always purchase a new watch. You're my one son.'' Sublimino's father embraced him.

Gwen smiled. *Maybe Sublimino is human* she thought.
