Our heart was in your hands

And you crushed it

We gave you friendship

We gave you love

Now all you have is memories

We remember being a child

So young and so naïve

You were the only one who fully understood

You were there to hear us say that your hair was like a sapphire

So black it was blue

Your mouth was so soft on ours

We were sure it was as close to heaven as we could get

Now it is all in the past
