An Illogical Holiday

Rating: K

Disclaimer: I don't own Star Trek.

It was illogical to express gratitude to a parent for contributing the successful development of their offspring. Nevertheless, Spock had observed the holiday from his earliest childhood. It was the one human holiday in which his father insisted that he participate.

Even after his estrangement with Sarek over refusing admission to the VSA, Spock had continued to dutifully observed the holiday. An obligation, frequently performed in an overly perfunctory manner.

Today, he would give a universe to be able to say 'Happy Mother's Day, Ko-mekh'.
