Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang wandered the sunny streets of New Rome, hand in hand, after a busy day of chores and roll call at Camp Jupiter. The pristine white buildings reflected the evening sunlight to create a dazzling, golden effect and random water fountains created beautiful rainbows in the warm summer air. Hazel breathed in the scent of Honey Suckle and freshly cut grass, Life is so much better now, after completing the quest and saving the world, she thought to herself. It's quieter and a lot more subdued though, I almost miss being in mortal danger every day...

Frank turned to her and voiced her exact thoughts, 'Doesn't it seem a lot quieter now? Like, that should be a good thing…but I kinda miss the Argo II…' His expression was wistful, like it had been a lot lately. Hazel suspected he missed being able to let his animal forms take control of him in the heat of battle, missed the long nights on watch duty together and the friendship they had established with the other demigods. She knew this because she missed it too.

But then she stopped in her tracks and looked deep into Frank's deep, caring brown eyes. She was so in love with him and would give the world to stay by his side, and honestly, she had had many chances to test this statement. Frank was the first person she had ever known, apart from her previous boyfriend Sammy, who accepted her for who she truly was and didn't judge her on her skin colour or her family's history. He had always been there for her, in those first hard months at Camp Jupiter when she knew the other Half-bloods didn't accept her because of her dad being Pluto, lord of the Underworld. Hazel and Frank had developed a strong, firm friendship immediately, like it was destiny (which it most likely was).

Then Percy had appeared and their lives had been turned upside-down. Even in the demigod world, it isn't every day you get sent on a mission to save the world. And Hazel was sure she couldn't have managed it without Frank and Percy at her side. Heck, they had saved her life countless times!

Frank took her other hand and held them both out in front of him. 'Hazel…I…' He stared down at their interlaced fingers nervously. 'I know you miss being on the quest, I do too. And I was thinking. We've been here at Camp Jupiter for months, just hanging around and training the other demigods. Maybe…maybe it's time to go on an adventure of our own. Just you and me…We could travel the rest of the world, the places we haven't seen. We could go anywhere, you and me.' He looked up at Hazel and met her eyes hopefully. Hazel's heart immediately melted, the way it always did when Frank looked at her like that.

'Frank…I'd love to! That sounds amazing!'

'Really?'

'Yeah, we could go so many places together- New Zealand, Africa, even…even England!'

Frank pulled a face. 'You sure you wanna go there? It's all cold and rainy in England!'

Hazel laughed and swung their still intertwined hands. Then she stopped and gave Frank a look that overflowed with all her love for him. 'As long as I'm with you, I'll go anywhere in the world.'

Frank gently cupped her face in his big, soft hands. 'Hazel, I love you more than any place in the world…'

Hazel placed her hands around his neck. 'I love you too Frank…with all my heart'

Then he kissed her, and her body flowed with warm love and passion. She realised, standing here in front of the sunset, surrounded by the beautiful city, that no matter where she was, as long as she was by Frank's side, she belonged.

They broke apart after a few glorious moments and Frank squeezed her hand. Then he turned into a giant Golden Eagle, scooped Hazel up onto his soft, feathered back, and they both flew off into the setting sun on the distant horizon.
