This is about Gabriella trying to cope with the death of Troy. Song used is I Can't Take The Distance by Evan and Jaron

The sky has lost it's color, The sun has turned to grey…

As Gabriella walked through the park, it started to get cloudy and depressing. She was thinking of Troy…her long lost love. He was gone and she didn't know how to bring herself to accept this truth. In her heart, she knew that she would always love him and, even if she moved on, think of him each day as she had been for the previous 2 months.

At least that's how it feels to me, Whenever you're away…

Gabriella also knew that she would never have a love that could even compare to what she felt with Troy. Her heart couldn't bare this pain as her new found depression grew and grew. She was digging herself deeper and deeper into a dark, black hole of nothingness.

I crawl up in the corner, As I watch the minutes pass…

Every night, instead of going out with her friends and having a good time, she'd stay alone. If anyone were to walk into her home, they would see a small, fragile Gabriella crying into her knees.

Each one brings me closer to, The time you're comin' back…

She knew that there would one day be a time when she'd see him again. This was the only thing that could comfort her.

I can't take the distance, I can't take the miles,

Often times, Gabriella would go to the beach and look across the ocean alone, longing for the day that her love would return. She knew he couldn't…he had died at war.

I can't take the time until I next see you smile

All Gaby wanted was to see the heart melting smile that she had once seen everyday. She wanted her kids to see it…he innocent little 6 month old triplets.

I can't take the distance, And I'm not ashamed, That with every breath I take I'm callin your name, But I can't take the distance

Taylor came to watch the kids one day so Gaby could go relax. She went to the beach again and screamed Troys name across the ocean…just as she collapsed into tears.

I still believe my feelings, But sometimes I feel too much, I make believe you're close to me, But it ain't close enough, Not nearly close enough

She held her chest…her heart ripping out. There was nothing she could do…Troy was dead…her love…was dead. She would have done anything to be back in his arms.

I can't take the distance, I can't take the miles, I can't take the time until I next see you smile, I can't take the distance, And I'm not ashamed, That with every breath I take I'm callin your name

Soon her sobs filled the air. People walked by and some stared at her. None of them knew why she was so upset.

I brave fire and I brave rain, To be by your side I'd do anything, I can't take the distance

The burning fire of her love for Troy was destroyed by the rain that fell that day, 2 months before.

I will go the distance, I will go the miles, That's how much you mean to me

Gabriella decided it was time to leave…she stood up confidently and walked toward the water. It was now October so there were no life guards.

'Cause I can't take the distance, I can't take these miles, I can't take the time until I next see you smile, I can't take the distance, And I'm not ashamed, That with every breath I take I'm calling your name, I can't take the distance

As she continued out to the ocean, she screamed Troy's name once more. She was now floating and waiting til she would sink.

It's hard to remember, As long as you're away, When I find solace, There's only one way, I can't take the distance

Gabriella died that night, leaving her children orphans. Taylor and Chad took them in and raised them, regretting that they hadn't seen Gabriella's pain before it was too late.
