Long ago it was foretold that the fate of the world would be decided when the next shiny eveekind appeared. Now Alexander, an amnesiac Umbreon who claims to have been a human has appeared. Everyone believes him to be the Broken the bringer of doom. He, and his Glacion companion must find the prophecy speaker Suicune in order to prove himself the Whole the bringer of salvation.

Hey y'all this is my first pokemon fanfic, and my first fanfic in general in over a year 0_0. So I would really appreciate any reviews you can give me. I do not own Pokemon. Other than that I just hope you enjoy this story! See y'all at the end of the chapter!

Mistaken prophecy

Chapter One

The jet black figure lay in one corner of the room, unconscious. The glowing blue rings spread around its body shone faintly in the gloom. Slowly, the figure blinked its shining gold eyes open. His gaze worked its way around the room, taking in every detail.

The room was sparsely furnished. The only thing inside the room was the dirty nest of hay that he lay on. Three of the walls were made of solid stone, with one containing a single bar covered window. The wall apposite the window was made of solid metal bars, and outside it sat a blue creature with bunny like ears.

The bunny-creature turned its head and looked at him. "Oh, so you're finally awake," it said with a heavy Scottish accent, "I was beginning to wonder if you were going to wake up at all."

The black creature forced himself to his paws. "Where… am I?" he muttered.

"Well y'see mate, you're in the prison of the Blazekin guild. M'names Rick. Whats your's?"

"It's Alex," the dark form said, "Alexander Nightgrasp." The dark figure padded over to the bars "Why am I in prison? I didn't do anything wrong… At least not that I remember."

The bunny-thing gave Alex a quizzical look. "Well what can ya remember?" It asked. I thought every mon knew about the Prophecy." "Seeing as you're the first shiny umbreon to appear scince I'd say you fit the role of the Broken pretty well."

"What are you talking about? I am a human, not an Umbreon," Said Alex.

"Sure ya are, and I'm a human too. Definatly not an Azumarill," It said, its voice thick with sarcasm. "If ya wann'a survive your hearing ya better stop lying."

Alex glared at the Azumarill. "You're the one who's lying," he muttered.

"Oh, so ya don't believe me mate? Look at your hands then."

Alex's gaze fell to his paws. His golden eyes widened in shock, fear, and confusion. "I d-don't understand."

"Well ya better figure it out quick mate. It's time for your hearing."
