Finding Calypso
I said I didn't want to leave you,
But you told me to go on,
I'll miss you every morning,
I'll miss you every dawn.
My love for you will not fade,
As I search to once more see your face,
To hold you in my arms again,
And to fix the hole in my heart that only you can replace.
I shall search day and night,
And concur many feats,
And though I've battled many,
I've found loneliness is the scariest of beasts.
My crew may think I'm crazy,
But I do this out of love,
They say I'll never find you,
Even though it might be true, it's too awful to think of.
I will do the impossible,
Just to see you again,
I'd do anything for you my love,
Just to get back the love we had then.
I'm afraid I'm running out of time,
I'm afraid my hope is running out,
I've come to a difficult obstacle,
I need a different route.
I'm sorry but I can't hold on,
I fear I've done nothing right,
But I will search even in death,
I will not give up the fight.
For you I'd search a thousand stars,
And wait a thousand nights,
Until I make it back to you,
And all the world is right.
