Good Night

I do not own Kingdom Hearts 2 or the characters. Also this is my first Axel and Roxas story so no flaming at me.

The fire Nobody stared out at the rain. It had been raining for a week now and it only soured his mood more. The weather was helping the thoughts that were in his head turn and sadden him. As Axel stared out the window, his green eyes dulled when his thoughts took him on memory road.

"So you've made up your mind?"

A boy with cerulean blue eyes and blond, spiky hair stopped walking. He slightly turned to meet green eyes.

"Why did the Keyblade choose me? I must know." Axel grew mad and straighten from his casual stance.

"Don't turn your back against the Organization, Roxas! It you get on their bad side they'll destroy you!" Roxas blinked at him before turning away from him.

"Nobody would miss me..." With that, Roxas continued walking. Axel, quite desperate, shouted out to him as he rounded the corner.

"That's not true! ... I would..." Axel was hoping that Roxas heard him and waited, but it was no use.

He was gone.

Axel sighed and leaned his head against the cold window. That was only one of many memories that bothered Axel. There were many, many others. Axel sighed again before deciding to go for a walk. He walked in the rain, his black jacket the only thing keeping the drops of water off him. As he walked though, it brought other thoughts. Like how every time he sees Sora that he has to stop himself from shouting out Roxas' name. They both looked the same to him; the only difference would be that Sora was taller than Roxas and older. Another would be that Sora didn't have Roxas' memories. Only Axel would forever know them. Axel stopped walking; listening to the rain as it hit his black hood. He stared down at the ground as tears came to his eyes. He knew that Nobodies had no hearts, that they had no emotion. Then why did it hurt to think of Roxas and knowing that he would never see him again?

"... Roxas..." He whispered his name as the tears ran down his face. "I truly do hope I see you in the next life. I hope you remember that promise you said." As he said that, a small smile came to his lips and his eyes got a little brighter. As if on cue, the rain stopped suddenly. Axel blinked up and looked at the sky. It was very strange that it would just stop after a whole week of raining. Axel kept staring at the sky before shaking his head.

"Heh, I've seen stranger things..."Axel put his hood down and smiled up at the sky. "Night, Roxas..." He then turned and headed back to were he was staying, keeping his smile on his face.
