His friends had dragged him out here for 'business' but he knew that Kaiba just wanted to see Ami.
No surprise, there.
He found himself walking up the stairs of Cherry Hill Temple. He'd never really believed in anything, but after Battle City, there might just be something out there, watching, sneering, Now, Otogi, be good, or you'll be blasted to nothing in seconds.
In mythology gods were so bitchy- Though, it wasn't as if Otogi himself could talk. He was pretty bitchy, so his friends said. But he didn't turn people into spiders when they were better at something than him.-
There was a girl, sweeping the ground. She was humming what seemed to be Breaking Benjamin's Diary of Jane.
Then, he recognized her from one of Usagi's pictures.
He walked up to her.
"Hey, you're one of Usagi's friends, right?"
Her alarm seemed to flare as her head snapped up to look at him.
"How do you-"
"We go to the same school. But... It's Rei, right?"
"Yeah... Hino Raye."
"Ryuji Otogi. So... If you're as cool as Usagi makes you out to be... Maybe we could be friends?"
"Usagi makes me out to be cool?"
She seemed dubious.
"'Course. She is your friend right?"
"Sadly." Rei sighed.
Otogi laughed.
"Tell me about it. I have to deal with Jounochi and Honda every day, and that isn't fun."
"Katsuya Jounochi?" Rei asked, "Makoto talks about him."
"I know." Otogi groaned, "They're, like, best friends and it's so gross."
Rei laughed.
"So.." She said, "Lunch, you and me, Burger World, noon."
She clicked her tongue flirtatiously and went back to her sweeping as if nothing happened.
Otogi just grinned.
"And the Flirt Maser does it again."

This seemed a lot longer in my head.
