Chapter 1
Rain fell heavily from the dark gray sky, washing away the blood on the ground. Burn marks were seared into the cool pavement. Two tall men towered over the three limp bodies lying on the cold, hard, wet pavement. One of the bodies was lying face down, the t-shirt stained with blood. A girl was on her back, her eyes were shut and her forehead was drenched in blood. The third and last body was a boy. He was lying face up.
His dark black messy hair was stuck to his forehead. His skin was completely white. Something dark was dribbling down his mouth. The two men gave strangled cries, and had shocked looks on their faces. "Dad. The youngest of the two said. We need to bring them to St. Mungo's Hospital!"
"R-r-right of c-c-course! The older man said, stuttering. We must alert Dumbledore quickly." The younger man nodded.
"Right, I will stay here and do what I can, dad." The man's father gave his son one last flustered look, before disapparating away. The man who's name is Bill came down and kneeled in front of the 3 limp bodies. He pulled out a wand from the pocket of the heavy black coat he was wearing and muttered lumos. A bright light appeared on his wand, and illuminated the three bodies.
He knelt in front of the the girl. He held his wand up to her face, shining the bright light on it, looking for any major injuries. He wiped the blood off her forehead with a tissue and flinched. A deep wide gash was on her forehead, and a bruise was forming on her left cheek. Her dark brown lips were ravaged with newly formed cuts. She had deep cuts all over her face. Bill visibly paled, this girl was young enough to be a second or third year at Hogwarts.
"Who would do such a thing?" Bill whispered.
"Yes. A quiet voice said behind him. Who would, indeed."
