Summary: Lisa thinks about how she beat Jackson, and how it changed her.
Fighter
Lisa sat down on her couch and tried to read a book. But, she couldn't; her mind kept drifting back to the red eye flight and how she had met Jackson. She remembered how nice Jackson had been to her before he revealed his intentions.
When I thought I knew you
Thinking that you were true
I guess I, I couldn't trust
'Cause your bluff time is up.
'Cause I've had enough,
You were there by my side
Always down for the ride
But your joy ride just came down in flames
'Cause your greed sold me out of shame.
She remembered how shocked she had been when he told her he was in charge of assassinating Keefe. She hated him even more for threatening her father.
After all of the stealing and cheating
You probably think that I hold resentment for you
But, uh uh, oh no, you're wrong
'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do
I wouldn't know just how capable I am to pull through
So I wanna say thank you.
Lisa smiled as she remembered how Jackson had been caught with her in the bathroom. It had given her time to grab her weapon: a Frankenstein pen. It wasn't much, but it was all she could find. She hid it just as Jackson sat back down next to her. She stabbed him in the neck with it after explaining to him about the scar.
'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter.
She remembered calling Cynthia about Keefe. She had then driven to her house, and was shocked to discover that Jackson had followed her home. She smirked at how stupid Jackson was. This was her territory now, and she wouldn't lose.
Never saw it coming
All of your backstabbing
Just so you could cash in
On a good thing before I realized your game
I heard you're going around
Playing the victim now
But don't even begin
Feeling I'm the one to blame
'Cause you dug your own grave.
She remembered hitting him with her field hockey stick. She grimaced as she remembered him throwing her down the stairs. She smiled as she remembered shooting him, and her father shooting him. She sighed and opened her book and began to read, the scene playing continuously in her head.
After all of the fights and the lies
Yes, you wanted to harm me but that won't work anymore
Uh, no more, oh no, it's over
'Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture
I wouldn't know how to be this way now, and never back down
So I wanna say thank you.
Lisa fell asleep with a smile on her face, realizing that she would always be stronger than Jackson Rippner. No one, no one, messed with her father.
'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
Makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
It makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter
FIN
Well? Good? Bad? Sucky or crappy? Tell me! I'm now open to flames for the first time ever! Let me know! Thanks!
