Like a Moth to a Flame
Like a moth to a flame: the perfect analogy for their relationship. Ianto, the moth and Jack, the flame. Drawn to something so dangerous that it eventually leads to the moth, or in this case Ianto's downfall.
The flame in all its beauty cannot control its own nature. It's dual personality can either help or destroy. The flame can provide light and warmth if treated right, but betray the flame and it becomes a destructive force.
Ianto knew how to treat the flame and in return it provided for him, but he was too close when someone betrayed it and his wings were burnt.
