This is my story.

I die, in case you were wondering.

Should I not have said that? Sorry. I've never been the best story teller.

It's true though, I do die. Right at the end, they leave me alone, surrounded by lights in a dark room, and I realise I don't begrudge them for it. We were fighting a war, and people die in wars, right? So even if they had a way to drag a body out, I don't think anyone could blame them for leaving this one behind.

Sorry.

I'm going off track.

Again.

Where was I?

Oh, yeah.

The story.

It's my story. I die in the end, but that's not important. There are worse things to experience than death, like war.

Yeah.

War's worse than death. Which brings us to the point of this yarn: my story.

Because I'm going to die in the end, but that's not important. What's important is that you read this story very carefully. If you do, and if you do it right, you may gain something from it- and that, that something? That's what's really important.

It's my legacy.

It's all I have to leave behind.

And if we play our cards right, it's going to be all that matters.

Because it's going to save us all. And I'm going to need you to remember that.
